Blue & white sheets of glass were cut into strips, a piece of clear glass placed over the top and fired for 24 hours in the kiln to make a striped piece of glass.
The striped piece was cut into approximately 2.5 centimetre wide strips of alternating blue and white, fitted together with two square layers of clear glass in between, matching squares of blue on clear in the corners and fired for 24 hours in the kiln to fuse the glass together.
This final patterned glass was fired again for 24 hours on a mold to shape it.
