A sheet of clear glass was cut into approximately 1 centimetre wide strips, topped with a clear sheet of glass; and fired in a kiln for 24 hours to fuse the glass together.
The resultant clear self-patterned striped sheet was cut into squares with the self-pattern running diagonally. The squares were fitted together to make the centre design. Other smaller squares were cut into triangles to make the corner pieces. These sections were connected by 12 pieces of clear glass, arranged differently in two layers creating a subtle geometric pattern to compliment the centre design. The assembled pieces were fired for 24 hours in the kiln to fuse the glass together.
The final patterned glass was fired again for 24 hours on a mold to shape it.
