A striped piece of glass was made by cutting crimson and clear sheets of glass into strips; and fired in a kiln for 24 hours to fuse the glass together.
The striped piece was cut into strips and these arranged to make a chequerboard pattern; and fired in the kiln for 24 hours.
The chequerboard pattern was cut into squares to provide collections of crimson and clear squares. This work was assembled from one layer of clear glass, topped with the collections of crimson and clear squares around a central crimson square, 8 crimson squares around the edge; and fired in the kiln for 24 hours to fuse the glass together.
This final patterned glass was fired again for 24 hours on a mold to shape it.
