A sheet of clear glass was cut into sixteen squares, the corners removed, and fitted together. One centimeter black & white squares of glass were fitted into the corners around the squares to create the diamond effect. Sixteen narrow pieces of clear glass and four triangular pieces were fitted around the edge to complete the pattern, and topped with a clear piece of glass; and fired for 24 hours in the kiln to fuse the glass together.
This final patterned glass was fired again for 24 hours on a mold to shape it.
