These handmade glass abstract works have been made by layering – one or two layers of glass form the base, with coloured pieces arranged on top. There are generally two firings, the first to fuse the glass and the second to create the shape.  Depending on the way the glass moves after the first firing, there may be cold work followed by additional firings before the final firing to shape the glass over a mold. Each firing process lasts approx. 24 hours.
